About Carrie Mateer

Responsible for management of the insurance authorization and verification departments. Duties include maintaining the integrity of the patient eligibility and authorization cycle from admit to discharge from home health services. Responsible for keeping up to date on payor / contracting changes that could impact risk of write-offs from payment denials for unauthorized services. As Director, I work closely with the field operation leaders, Intake department, billing departments and contract departments. Maintain reporting and continual process improvements for team members across multiple regions. Work on setting standards to monitor productivity and required metrics to keep pace with and above industry standards. As part of the shared services leadership team, I work with local leadership in development of best practices across regions. Working toward quality through repeatable and measurable processes by driving consistent outcomes for our patients. Striving to become more efficient and agile in our approach in order to reduce or eliminate redundancies and leverage economies of scale to improve access to care for all regions. As part of the shared service model, we continually look for ways to develop a competitive advantage that sets us apart.
