About Carson Blumenreich

I am an early childhood educator who has been teaching kindergarten for fourteen years. Before that, I taught preschool for four years. I believe in the whole-child approach, focusing both on academic and social development. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory method of instruction, principles of Social Emotional Learning (SEL), LETRS I and II, and Responsive Classroom I and II. Although I have been a kindergarten classroom teacher for fourteen years, I also have experience working with students in grades K-5. I led a team in planning, developing, and instructing students in kindergarten through fifth grade cross-age groups during a week long study of Colorado history over the last three years. I also have offered many after school enrichment clubs over the years to students kindergarten through fifth grade, including a Lego, French, and STEAM club to name a few. I feel strongly that good, consistent communication between home and school helps students achieve a higher level of learning. I am always on the look out for teachable moments during the day and plan fun, engaging activities for the students to promote the highest level of learning possible. On top of my daily teaching duties, I also serve on the Admissions committee for my school; I am the Division Chair for the lower school, which means I assist other faculty in developing their professional growth plans; and I sit on the Board of a local preschool and serve as the Secretary.
