Background
About Carson Keever
My research is focused on processes that drive divergence of populations. I am interested in how life history variation along with variability in patterns of colonization and dispersal influence population genetic structure and adaptation. More recently my research focus has expanded to applying the concepts and techniques used in evolutionary biology and population genetics to real-world problems, including work on colonization of invasive and non-native species, and other conservation related questions. My research has been executed using vertebrate and invertebrate animal species from marine intertidal, estuarine, freshwater, and terrestrial environments.
