About Carson McAfee

As a Marketing and Communications Graduate Assistant at The Innovation Gateway, I develop and disseminate content that advances the university's research mission. I produce research content for external media outreach and social media channels, including recording video interviews, attending workshops, supporting script-writing for research-related videos, designing graphics, and managing social media. I also collaborate with peers and learn more about marketing theory, trends, and strategies as an active member of the American Marketing Association at UGA. Additionally, I have experience in managing and executing social media content for a growing audience of 20K followers on Instagram, as well as assisting in the design of collateral materials. Through these roles, I have built valuable communication skills, learned how to collaborate effectively, and formed meaningful work relationships. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Emerging Media at The University of Georgia, where I am expanding my knowledge and skills in this field. I am currently looking for full-time roles at a Marketing or Public Relations agency in New York City. I am most interested in media buying, digital media strategy, account management, and market research, but am open to any role in an environment that would be a good fit for me.
