About Carson Whitt

As a current Management Information Systems student at the University of Georgia, I am passionate about where technology and business intersect and how we can use technology to build a better future. In addition to my studies, I am also a teaching assistant for a Microsoft Excel class, where I have the privilege of helping underclassman business students develop their skills in this powerful tool.I am currently a co-op at Motorola Solutions, where I have gained valuable experience in project management, data analytics, and opportunity analysis while furthering my knowledge on how Motorola Solutions reimagines public safety.Throughout my time in college, I have taken courses in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Java, SQL, Business Process Modeling, and Microsoft Excel which have helped me to develop a strong foundation in business while having a firm foundation in computer science. I have also had the opportunity to participate in the Society for Management Information Systems, where I have learned the importance of my field and have had the opportunity to connect with my peers and others in the industry.In my internship, I have had the privilege of working among veteran project managers, managing projects up until a customer signs a purchase order. On top of this, I revitalized the structure of the team's Salesforce Analytics and led an inter-organizational cross functional team to increase competitiveness on certain opportunities. These experiences have taught me the importance of clear communication, organization, and time management while connecting with team members across the southeast.I am excited to continue my studies and gain more experience in IT Project Management.
