About Carsten Schiller

As an accomplished professional with high-level management experience in the tool & die manufacturing, law enforcement, and commercial motor vehicle inspections industries, I learned that the best way to achieve success was to motivate the resources I had with well-defined objectives and staff empowerment. My management belief is based on integrity, inclusiveness, and relationship-building, along with a positive attitude, an aptitude for working with cross functional teams, and the ability to adapt quickly to new ideas and situations allows me to achieve consistent and significant successes in multiple industries.I began my professional career in 1995 as Tool & Die Maker and I took pride in my 13-year career in this field, spending the first 4 years as an apprentice and earning my Certificates of Apprenticeship and Qualification. The opportunity to work in this field has taught me many important attributes that I will rely on for the rest of my life, such as time management, analytical thinking, innovative problem solving, independent and cooperative work strategies, and self-confidence. In 2008 I joined the Ontario Public Service as a Correctional Officer I was quickly acknowledged by my co-workers and managers as a strong Officer who had demonstrated character driven leadership, sound judgment, dependability, honesty, and integrity in a day-to-day work environment as well as crisis situations. In April 2019, I joined management in a Sergeant position and was immediately recognized as a strong team leader who effectively communicated values and expectations to staff while promoting an engaged and inclusive environment. I demonstrated an ability to direct, guide, and supervise staff in a fast paced, around the clock, high stress environment. In May 2022, I started a new permanent position with the Ministry of Transportation as a District Operations Manager responsible for managing Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement related activates in the Windsor, Chatham, and Sarnia areas.
