Background
About Carter Hass
Starting in high school, I began working for a small local company called Connect PV inc. during the school year and worked as seasonal camp staff at a Boy Scout camp, named Camp Mataguay, during the summers. At Connect PV, I performed standard junior engineer tasks such as implementing and managing the product lifetime management system, called Arena. I also performed data analytics and processing, working in Solidworks updating assemblies and creating technical drawing for items. As a seasonal camp staff, I started in 2017 teaching environmental science to young scouts, moving to robotics and engineering in 2018, then finally in 2019 I was the manager for the Computer Science department at the camp, directing around 5-10 staff in teaching various merit badges in the department. Presently, I am continuing work as a Junior Engineer at Connect PV, performing many of the same tasks as well as new ones such as database management, data collection and analysis, and creating standard operating procedures for processes in the new management system, Jobscope. Since the acquisition of ConnectPV in 2021 by Shoals Technologies Group, I moved to more of a manufacturing engineer role, working on assembly and technical documentation as well as operations and maintenance manuals. Other notable things about me, I am an Eagle Scout, and participated in Boy Scouts for 6 years, accumulating over 250 miles hiked and backpacked, over 100 nights camping, and over 100 volunteer hours. As well, I was a member of the FIRST Robotics team at Scripps Ranch High School, team 4139, beginning on the fabrication team in 2016, moving to design in 2017, eventually becoming one of the design leads and the marketing lead in 2019. I primarily functioned as the laser cutter and 3D printer operator during my time in design, as well as had input on the design of our robot during the 2017-2019 years.
