About Carter Leever

Am I people orientated or tech orientated? I'm still not sure. What I do know is that I love both, which is a bit of a balancing act. My first (great) manager was when I worked as a teller at WSECU. She observed that most those she had worked with were either really good with people and not so great at the technical side of banking, or visa versa. But with me, she observed I was able to balance both and would often talk to me about why and how we could train other tellers to develop both skill sets. Ever since then, I have tried to be aware of that balance. I've worked now in a wide variety of positions from being a mechanical designer who communicated through drawings and design, to a relationship manager in the world of credit card processing where I had to work hard to develop trust in a mostly untrusted industry. Through it all, my passion for customer service has grown, and my technical aptitude with it. While it's the customer who motivates me and keeps me focused, it's the technical work that keeps me engaged. Outside of work, my skill is liking just about anything that resembles a game, whether it's played on a tabletop, TV, or a court. If there's an obscure sport/game I probably have equipment for it.
