About Carter McCray

My name is Carter McCray, and I am currently a senior at Bowdoin College with a double major in biochemistry and English, and a minor in Japanese. My long-term goals are to pursue research an a PhD or MD/PhD graduate program. With my degree, I hope to work within the biomedical research field to revolutionize modern medicine, furthering our ability to study and cure disease, while making access to treatment more equitable for all. Currently, I am hoping to find an entry level research position in the biomedical research field in either a university or industrial lab. With hands-on proficiency with molecular biology assays, mammalian immune cell culture, and assay development, I am confident in my ability to perform in a diverse range of research labs. The combination of my research experiences at the university and industrial levels, and my broad field of undergraduate studies, moreover, have given me the skills to efficiently solve an array of complex problems, communicate effectively, and efficiently learn new techniques.
