About Carter Philipp

As a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics, I worked on the Sort Transship Items (STI) Solution Project, where I apply my core competencies in Java, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and React Native. I redesigned and migrated persistent level data stores using DynamoDB in AWS, creating a more intuitive and efficient set of data tables for managing transshipment logistics. I also established connectivity between two services of differing network architecture, and built API endpoints into backend lambda of internal frontend service. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona College of Engineering and the University of Arizona Honors College, where I have received academic distinction awards for two consecutive years. Previously, I worked as a Software Engineer at Avirtek, where I created an entire micro-service, called the heartbeat monitor, which ensured the efficacy of the predictions made by the neural network. I also built components in React Native and Python to enable real time alerts from the neural network on the website UI. I am passionate about developing innovative and scalable solutions for complex problems, and I value collaboration, learning, and diversity. I believe that I can bring a unique perspective and experience to the team, as I have worked on projects involving different technologies, domains, and industries.
