Background
About Caryn Glass
Caryn teamed up with partner Ami Ipapo and founded The Movement Initiative in 2010. Its mission to make movement accessible to a larger demographic is put into action through both the dance company and its health and wellness programs. Since relocating to San Diego from New York City in 2012, The Movement Initiative has produced three full length shows and several movement films, presenting work at Visionary Dance Theatre, White Box Live Arts and Raw Space Off Broadway. Their contemporary work, SPACES, was chosen for San Diego Dance Theater's 2014 Young Choreographers' Showcase, and their critically acclaimed dance theater production, Victor Charlie, was awarded prizes for the Top Box Office Seller and Audience Favorite at the 2014 San Diego International Fringe Festival. Caryn currently works as a dance educator and a CHEK Holistic Health Practitioner with a focus in working with pre-professional and professional dancers in order to help cultivate balanced bodies and long and successful careers.
