About Casandra Schroader

A pediatric speech-language pathologist, with 8+ years of direct clinical experience. Assists client's speech and language development across settings, including: multi-disciplinary outpatient clinics, home health/Early Intervention, and private school. My work includes collaboration with caregivers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior interventionists, and school-based speech therapists. I have obtained formal training in PROMPT, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and the Kaufman method for treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech. My Early Intervention training has included the DIR Floor-time approach. I am trained in Natural Language Acquisition: The Journey from Echolalia to Self-Generated Language for gestalt language processors. I have specific training in utilization of high-tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication methods for non-verbal & minimally verbal clients. I have supervised multiple Clinical Fellows during their Required Professional Experience, and mentored multiple Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). Currently, I am completing an Associate of Art in Spanish through a remote learning program.
