About Casey Coils
I have been a qualified nurse since 2014, graduating from the University of York with a BSc in Adult Nursing.Since qualifying I have worked within Leeds Teaching Hospitals, initially as a staff nurse within Oncology and Haematology admissions until 2017 and later Intensive Care until 2018.Since 2018, I have worked within the Centre for Neurosciences at the LGI, becoming a Junior Sister on the Male Neurosurgical and Spinal Surgery ward. Following which, I began my ACP training in September 2019.My current areas of interest are the role of the advanced practitioners in Advanced Care Planning (ACP) and the management of facial nerve palsy following surgery for acoustic neuroma.
