About Casey Dubravcic

I grew up in Northern Arizona and graduated from Flagstaff High School, and in the second graduating class of Coconino Community College’s Nursing program in 2006. I delivered the class commencement speech as the class president. Then I attained my bachelor’s of science while working at Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC). As a registered nurse at FMC, I worked in the critical care unit, the cardiovascular intensive care unit, and the pre and post-operative areas gaining extensive knowledge on how to care for critically ill and high acuity patients. During this time at FMC, he found his love for psychiatry, by having long conversations and providing emotional support to family members of critically ill patients, while still providing high acuity life saving care. While working, developing, and learning, he was also growing his family. He married his wife Jill Dubravcic and they had three fantastic kids together. He graduated with his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree in 2017. Casey started working in community mental health after graduation at The Guidance Center (TGC) in Flagstaff, where he acted as the only pediatric psychiatric provider for approximately 2 years. While working at TGC he gained extensive knowledge in the diagnosing and treatment of psychiatric illness. Throughout his life and with the treatment of patients, Casey always has had a holistic approach, noting and impressing upon those around him the importance of human connection, wellness, and balanced life. Casey is trained extensively in many therapeutic modalities including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and he stays up to date on the current science of treatment and evidence-based practice. Casey is incredibly well-informed and a very proficient prescriber able to treat any and all psychiatric disorders (ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism, personality disorders, and acute suicidality. Casey is constantly learning and recognizes that this is a high-value human trait. He embodies the approach to life of a learner while still being an expert in psychiatric treatment. He puts the patient and their loved ones first, taking the extra time to make sure that everyone understands the treatment options and is able to make well-informed decisions regarding their care.
