About Casey Gorab

I am a full time composer, music teacher and performer. I recently graduated Montclair State University with a degree in Music Theory/Composition, and I am headed to NYU this fall to earn my Master's Degree in Screen Scoring. I have written music for several short films, documentaries, animations, and podcasts. I am very flexible when it comes to genre and I take pride in my versatility. In addition to film and media, I also have experience collaborating with theater companies to write original works for special events and concerts. Thanks to the incredible filmmakers and theater companies that I have worked with, my original works have premiered at New York City's 54 Below and The Triad Theater, Hackensack PAC, Alexander Kasser Theater, and countless film festivals. Music education is an equal passion of mine. In addition to composing, I currently teach music for PreK3-8th grade at an elementary and middle school, direct their choir, and teach private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele. I've also hosted group songwriting workshops and composition classes for middle schoolers and high schoolers.
