About Casey Goss

I am passionate about helping others. Whether that means completing research to solve a problem, offering a compassionate and empathetic listening ear, advocacy work, or direct patient care– I want to make a difference. In particular, I love working with children and supporting their growth both inside and outside of the hospital. Through my experience as a camp counselor, I have fostered meaningful connections with kids and created opportunities to learn through play - skills that I hope to transfer to the bedside to create a healing, empathetic, caring environment. I love learning, and I am always looking to improve. Whether through my classes, my involvement on the Patient Safety Oversight Committee at MedStar Georgetown, or in the Quality and Safety Special Interest Group, I enjoy asking difficult questions and searching to find the best possible answers to support my practice. I also have a minor in Spanish, which has allowed me the opportunity to speak with patients in their native language, making them more comfortable and ensuring they get the best possible care.
