About Casey McCabe

As an employment case manager and program coordinator, my aim is to help break down barriers to accessing employment, healthcare, housing and other social determinants of well-being. Always wanting to learn more, I am currently completing a Disability Management Practitioner certificate from Pacific Coast University. At present, I run the employment program at Qmunity. I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, highlighting resilience while respecting diverse needs for emotional, physical, and mental supports. Honouring and giving space to lived experiences alongside education, we can create safer spaces for our community- 4 years of experience working within an advocacy and community resource setting - 4 years of experience working with people experiencing houselessness, complex mental and physical health, and substance use - Passionate about harm reduction, access to employment, free and fair healthcare, and disability justice
