About Casey Nordgaard

A graduate from an AACSB accredited business school, with a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. I plan to establish myself in the marketing world not only to grow as a person, but to grow the business as well. Having the world to explore, I plan to travel where the best marketing opportunities present themselves. Since marketing is such a large career field, I am excited to explore the different industries and roles of marketing. Specifically, I plan to find another marketing position, or to get hired at a marketing firm, in a new industry; just to see what other industries are like. The options are plentiful and I am prepared to work. Getting into marketing was a bit of a discovery in its own way. Like most people entering college, I had no idea what career I wanted to pursue. I tried a few different classes in different subjects from economics, to graphic design, to psychology. One class in particular has stuck with me since the 10th grade: it was entrepreneurship. I realized I wanted to go into business. With some research, I found marketing. Marketing seemed exciting and would allow me to use my creativity. Ever since I found my career of choice, I have been working tirelessly at that goal. In my educational pursuit I have also consistently been employed, Gaining skills from the classes I have taken, and from my work experience. After five years, I am still employed with an additional position of being a marketing intern. Some skills I have acquired are teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and having a hard work ethic. Additionally, I have learned a lot of software skills using Adobe, Microsoft, Canva Design, Wix web creator, Figma app and web design, Qualtrics, Google Analytics and applications. Having my current skill set, my goals are to utilize each one in my future job; whether that may be another internship or at a marketing firm. That being said, I am open to other marketing job opportunities as well. My main goal is to build real world experience. I want to build myself up; to have the capabilities to push a business above and beyond.
