As a Ph.D. student, I have broadened my expertise and gained invaluable experience as a researcher and educator. In my dissertation research, I have designed an innovative virtual simulation program assessing participants' clinical reasoning and critical thinking before and after a novel cardiovascular modeling program. This cardiovascular modeling program uses the science of ventricular-vascular coupling and pressure-volume loop analysis to teach cardiovascular physiology and mechanical circulatory support in an immersive and engaging manner.
