About Casey Sell

As the Director of the Law Firms Practice at Gallagher, I specialize in providing tailored insurance solutions and risk management services to law firms. I assess their unique insurance needs, negotiate coverage terms, and analyze policies to ensure comprehensive protection against risks such as professional liability and cyber liability. Collaborating closely with law firm partners and stakeholders, I develop customized insurance programs that align with their risk management objectives and regulatory requirements. By staying informed about industry trends, I provide strategic advice and support to help law firms make informed decisions and protect their assets. During my first (and only) year attending Law School, I worked as a Legal Recruiting Manager at Round Hill Search, Inc, where I successfully sourced and placed attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for various law firm clients. Here, I interviewed hundreds of attorneys in various practice areas and gained incredible insight on what it is really like to practice law. This left me with no choice but to promptly quit law school. My passion for the legal industry, however, remains undeterred.In my earlier career, I worked as a Licensed Sales Producer and Agent in Training at Allstate Insurance. During my tenure, I gained valuable experience in property and casualty insurance, sales, and effective communication. This role allowed me to assist clients in protecting their assets and provided me with a solid foundation in the insurance industry.My tangential career as a Yacht Captain - After college, I decided that I wanted to get paid to travel the world. I began working in the yachting industry as a stewardess/deckhand and worked my way up to Captain after gaining my license as a USCG 100T Master. I managed multiple yachts for high-net worth clients and moved vessels around the Atlantic and the Caribbean. This encompassed overseeing travel logistics, engineering maintenance, budgeting, and crew management. While I have since retired from what was nearly a decade at sea, I keep my passion and skills alive by working as a Training Captain at Freedom Boat Club, where I provided comprehensive training to new members on small vessel handling, emergency procedures, and navigation. In my spare time you can find me SCUBA diving, painting, hiking, golfing, or by the pool with my nose in a book.
