About Casey Sumner

Casey McKinney is an accomplished public speaker, writer, and event planner with over nine years of collective experience in the nonprofit sector. During her time in the nonprofit industry, she has cultivated and maintained relationships with various stakeholders, including community partners, volunteers, and donors. Casey has led and collaborated with multiple teams to organize and execute hundreds of events, ranging from small community gatherings to large-scale productions. She has a passion for communicating effectively and creatively to diverse audiences, using various mediums and techniques. Most of all, Casey is passionate about building relationships to create positive change in the St. Petersburg community she calls home. In 2024, she embarked on her newest endeavor when she accepted a position with Orlando Health Foundation – West Florida, as a Development Manager with a focus on Corporate Giving. Casey holds a Master of Arts in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, concentrated in public relations with a minor in psychology, from the University of South Florida.
