I am the coordinator for nursing services at ECU Health Medical Center. In this role I assist the Magnet program director for our journey to redesignation. My other responsibilities include but are not limited to review and revision of documents, gather evidence and analytics, and support these through creation of graphs. This information gets disseminated to nurse managers for achievement reviews and areas of growth opportunities. Additionally, I am the format reviewer for our organization policies through the database PolicyStat. I support ECU Health Medical Center’s nursing shared governance council and DAISY program. In the past year, I have facilitated the development of the PETAL award to honor and recognize our wonderful nursing assistants. I manage the certification voucher program to aid in the support of our nursing professional development.
