Background

About Casey Young

Completeing a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, I have deep appreciation for the natural world around me. I enjoy living and working in the Adirondack Park and have made a career out of protecting natural resources inside the blue line. I feel grateful to live in and protect such a beautiful, biodiverse area. I have experience in wetland delineation, air photo interpretations using GIS and LiDAR data, project review, data quality control, and many other science based skills. I have a completed my 38 Hour Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Training Program through Richard Chinn, Northeastern Plants of the Wetland Boundary through the Wetlands Training Institute, Plant Taxonmy through UCLA, and Woody Plant Identification through the Wetlands Training Institute. I am currently working on climate change in the Adirondacks and how we can study plant species to track changes over time.
