Having worked in the cannabis industry as a cultivator, consultant, and political advocate for over a decade, Caslin is considered to be an expert both in cannabis cultivation and local level cannabis policy, specifically in rural areas. As an advocate, Caslin led the Calaveras Cannabis Alliance, the second largest cannabis membership organization per capita in the state, where he gained crucial experience in representation to, and education of, local and state level regulators, and has been involved in numerous working groups and hearings for local and state policy development, contributing original language to multiple ordinances and programs in california, including tax policy, pesticide standards, and water quality standards. He also has Extensive experience with public speaking on cannabis issues to both state and local government and organizations, as well as developing and teaching workshops for local cultivators on the topic of coming into compliance with state and local law. As a businessperson, Caslin has 5+ years experience in group facilitation, negotiation, conflict mediation, and project management including international management of multiple small teams working remotely, and 4+ years experience in creating organizational systems, including operations plans, SOPs, conduct policies, communication procedures, etc. in 2014, Caslin founded Ruckus Farms, a farm management company, and Sevro, Inc, a cannabis business optimization and government relations consulting company, where he worked with clients ranging from small farms to 20-acre vertically-integrated cannabis campuses in a broad range of capacities, from operations auditing to development agreement negotiations. Caslin currently works as Farmer Programs Manager for Flow Kana, where he manages the production of all farmer-facing training, education, and support programs, which aim to empower small independent farmers to be competitive in the marketplace while pursuing sustainable practices.
