About Cassandra Abas

While I have a part-time job in retail, I am working toward finding a permanent job in teaching. Teaching and working with young students has always been my passion. Although it may be tiring, it is a struggle that I want to and am ready deal with. Currently I am a occasional teacher and have been in good standing with the Ontario College of Teacher's since 2022. Since then I have completed 4 additional qualifications in English Language Learners part 1, Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction part 1, Special Education part 1, and Integrated Arts part 1. I plan to take more additional qualification courses but haven't decided on which ones yet. In addition to being in a few LTO's (Long Term Occasional) positions, I have experience working as an Early Childhood educator and volunteering for an English as a Second Language class. Due to my ongoing experience, I have learned to love working with the primary/junior grades and have developed a passion for working with ESL students as I learn about their cultures.
