About Cassandra Atkinson

Love is at the forefront of everything I do, from leading and growing student organizations at my alma mater to spending considerable energy caring for my cat. It's why I decided at age 14 that I would dedicate my life and career to working in politics. Since then, I have thrown myself into the political whirlwind as often as I can. During my time at the University of Mary Washington, I committed my extracurricular time to political research and writing, and am proud to say that I co-authored and published three articles analyzing public opinion data in local and statewide papers. I was also granted the incredible opportunity to write an undergraduate thesis, in which I studied the relationship between sexist attitudes and radical political thought through quantitative data analysis. Professionally, I have worked in congressional offices, volunteered with local, statewide, and national campaigns, and have served in operations and HR for progressive consulting firms. This expansive background has served me well, and I am eager to grow the skills I gained from these experiences in my future endeavors. I am currently seeking full-time employment in both political research and in operations, where I feel my expertise will truly shine.
