About Cassandra Corey

I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelors in Chemistry. I have a passion for chemistry because I like seeing how things are created. I am particularly interested in toxicology, analytical chemistry, and environmental chemistry. I am very passionate in helping others and created a group called Flash Club which gave individuals with autism a community to create new friendships and learn different healthy life activities such as yoga or basketball. I also spent a lot of my life volunteering for various groups in order to support those on the autism spectrum. I recently have been very interested in research dealing with biodegradable plastics and the ocean- since there is more research that needs to be done in order to make biodegradable plastics safe for marine environment.
