Childhood memories on my grandparents' farm in Prince Edward Island are a treasure chest of haybale hide-and-seek, cuddling the latest batch of kittens, and indulging in all the raspberries within arm's reach. If you'd told me back then that I'd grow up with a deep passion for agriculture and find my way back to it, I'd have called you crazy! My teenage years were all about escaping the Island, yearning to explore the world's unknown horizons. And explore I did! Over two decades, I had the privilege of visiting 20+ countries, forging some of the most cherished friendships along the way. But, as it happens to many Atlantic Canadians, the salty breeze of the Atlantic Ocean tugged at my heartstrings. So, much of my adult life has been a journey to return to my roots. A decade-long career in the fertilizer sector in Ontario kept me curious, always learning, and surrounded by remarkable people. There's just something special about the down-to-earth aggies who toil to ensure our tables are graced with food. Now, thanks to the wonders of remote work, my family and I have made our way back to Prince Edward Island. Every moment spent here is pure joy, and we're soaking up every second of this Island life.
