About Cassandra Cunanan

Hi, my name is Cassandra (or Cass for short), and I am a fourth-year psychology student at Toronto Metropolitan University 🧠My interests are pursuing a career in a healthcare setting with the intention of minimizing access barriers and increasing destigmatization to create inclusive spaces for all people to receive adequate care. To advocate for this issue, I have served in an advisory role, collaborating with healthcare partners to reduce access barriers and am currently conducting my own advocacy initiatives with the non-profit WoodGreenAs a compassionate leader, I pay close attention to the different needs of the people I work with to help them achieve their goals. I am naturally inclined to share resources and give support to my peers. Therefore, I have taken up roles mentoring first-year students and as a Writing & Language facilitator at my university to be the mentor I wish I had! Helping others become the best version of themselves is something I have a strong passion for Outside of the professional world, I love food, exercise, beauty, cartoons, poetry and natureI am currently looking for research and clinical experience to expand my skillset for healthcare-related settings. Feel free to connect or email me at cassandra.cunanan@torontomu.ca! I am always looking for new friends as well :)
