About Cassandra Groll

I began my career as an intern in the Engineering Department at ABC 7 KGO-TV in San Francisco. They offer me a job as a teleprompter operator while I was completing my Electrical Engineering Degree at Solano College. After completing my degree they trained me as a character generator operator. In 1998 I began working at a new start-up television station ZDTV as a character generator operator. I worked there through the rebranding to TechTV. In 2002 I returned to ABC 7 KGO-TV as the morning character generator operator. In 2006 my family and I moved to the Boise area of Idaho. I began working for Idaho Public Television in June of 2006 as a character generator operator and an on-air graphic artist. I was able to take my knowledge of news production, live production, and post-production and apply it to graphics for public television. I decided to attend Boise State University's Graphic Design program to expand my knowledge of graphic design. I graduated from Boise State University with a BFA in May of 2022.
