About Cassandra Morano

Cassandra is a graduate from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business, with a focus in Operations Management and is finishing the Event Management Certification Program at Mount Royal University. She has passion for start-up culture, event planning, operations management, giving back to the community, and all things books! She has experience planning both corporate and special events for up to 250 persons during her volunteer and professional work experience. She founded What Cass Reads, that seeks to promote literacy and reading by supporting authors, publishers, and book sellers by providing digital marketing services to promote their books and brand. To date, she's reviewed 60+ books and ARCs/galleys and has participated in 10+ book release events and campaigns hosted by the Top 5 publishing companies, local booksellers, and independent authors, She believes that working with others to give back to the Calgary community not only builds strong and meaningful relationships, but also allows us to create a positive impact in the world. She's an active volunteer at Little Red Reading House (previously Calgary Reads) and for the Book Fairies of Alberta.
