Background

About Cassandra Santos

I graduated from Bridgewater State University Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in psychology and am currently employed as a full-time psychometrist. I have experience in social psychology and law research (e.g, juror perceptions in mock trials), as well as White supremacy research (e.g, the impact of White supremacy on BIPOC mental health outcomes). My undergraduate honors thesis stemmed from my deep interest in issues related to equity and social change. My time as a student peer tutor in general psychology and developmental psychology highlights my interest and proficiency in the psychological sciences. Additionally, I have a background in biomedical research through a past fellowship. I have held a leadership position in my past Phi Theta Kappa honor society chapter, Pi Omicron. During my time in office, our chapter helped to develop a community outreach project with the Rhode Island Department of Health that would go on to win the Distinguished College Project Award. These diverse experiences have collectively led me towards my aspiration of pursuing a graduate degree in psychology. Some have described me as a conscientious and enthusiastic individual with drive and a positive attitude. I am passionate about my education and bettering the future.
