About Cassandra Siwek

Cassandra is a professional engineer in the construction industry with a focus on estimating, leading the charge in fundraising to fight cancer, and supporting amateur sport in Canada. She combines her skills and experience in engineering, business and in sport to work through challenges. With over 20 years experience in estimating and bid management on construction and maintenance, Cassandra has been part of transformative infrastructure navigating complex projects by managing through a variety of contract models with an open and collaborative approach to achieving goals. Recently as Estimating Manager at ONxpress for the Construction Joint Venture on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada - the ONCORR GO Expansion Project, Cassandra provided leadership to developing a target price for enhancements that will provide two way all day 15 min service to people across the GTHA and system electrification supporting a more sustainable transit network. As team captain for Aecon’s RIDE to Conquer Cancer in support of the PMCF, Cassandra is a supporting the fight to end cancer in our lifetime by building and leading a team and driving fundraising for the cause. In 2023, the team raised over together and each rode over 225km over the two day event. Cassandra supports amateur sports in Canada by volunteering her time to judge international trampoline events worldwide representing Gymnastics Canada including events such as World Championships, and PanAm Games. As a dedicated elite athlete and past member of the trampoline National Team, current coach and judge, Cassasndra has built up unique skills and experience she has brought to a work environment. Mentoring and supporting team members is an important aspect as a veteran member of the trampoline community passing along wisdom and providing a friendly supportive environment. Throughout her time in high school and University Cassandra was a member of various athletic councils spending time providing leadership and organization bringing sports to students facilitating participation in games and tournaments and creating a community of athletes. Combining this experience with 25 years of coaching she joined the Toronto Triathlon Club’s board of directors the largest no-for-profit triathlon club in Canada. Leading various portfolios to support members including facilitating a mentorship program and navigating though the constantly changing landscape of the pandemic moving programs online and ensuring the club was able to serve its community for years to come.
