I am published author primarily through Weiser/Red Wheel. There I penned "Queering the Tarot","Queering Your Craft: Witchcraft From the Margins" and co-authored "Lessons From the Empress: A Tarot Workbook for Self-Care & Creative Growth." I was blessed enough to be invited to write the foreword for Charlie Claire Burgess's "Radical Tarot", a much anticipated 2023 release from Hay House. As a published author I am often asked to blurb books or review them via social media, blogging or a publisher's platforms. I have experience then and a deep passion for reviewing books. I have related experience and passion as an arts critic. I've contributed one-off articles to Howlround, for example and served as Contributing Arts Editor of the now defunct TheColu.mn here in MN. I've beta read and authenticity read as part of this career, most recently for a tarot book called "Wild Card" via Bluebird, a MacMillan imprint. Professional writing is another facet of my writing career that I'm always thrilled for opportunities in. For over a decade I was co-artistic director for Gadfly Theatre Productions where my copywriting, press releases and social media campaigns often sold out shows. Many of the grants I've written for Gadfly have been successful, and as such I've ghost-written grants for friends and collaborators. I currently do similar work for the Queer and Funny Improv Festival out of Huge Theater and serve on the advisory council for the Flip the Script Film Festival where I advise on these tasks. Beyond writing itself, I am a professional tarot card reader with almost two decades of experience. My clients range from individuals looking to deepen their spiritual path to corporate event planners looking to entertain a crowd and everything in between. My favorite clients also come in for one-on-one tarot lessons or specialty consultations. Specialty consultations most often means someone comes in interested in including tarot or witchcraft in their creative or corporate ventures and need some guidance on the most accurate and least harmful way to do so.
