About Cassandra Strauch

I am a highly motivated and adaptable person with a strong work ethic and many areas of interest. I am especially interested in oceanography, modeling and predicting how a warming climate will change the ocean and the many domino effects this can have. I have gained hundreds of hours of field work experience through previous internships which required me to collect data in a variety of weather conditions, then analyze and present this data to the public. I also have experience with a variety of lab techniques through my college courses and experience working in a lab processing and freezing cells. During the pandemic, I taught English in Korea, which allowed me to gain hundreds of hours of experience with public speaking, especially with presenting material at different levels. Most recently, I have been modeling toxicological data to better inform registration decisions and am in the process of publishing papers on this research.
