About Cassandra Tavukciyan
I am an archivist and researcher with a Master of Arts in Film & Photography Preservation and Collections Management from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. I am dedicated to the management, preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage and have experience in all aspects of collection management (physical and digital), public and educational programming, community outreach, research, exhibition creation, and volunteer/employee supervision. I have worked on various archival and research projects for the Multicultural History Society of Ontario, the New York Public Library, the Ryerson Image Centre, the Sara Corning Centre for Genocide Studies, and Houshamadyan, a digital initiative that aims to reconstruct the material history of Ottoman-Armenian life. In my spare time, I manage an educational and historically oriented Instagram page @armenian_women_artists, which has garnered over followers.
