About Cassandra Yip

Hi there, I’m Cass! I’m an environmentalist and experienced impact venture builder, with a focus on nature-based solutions and climate innovation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and International Relations from the National University of Singapore, where I specialised in political ecology. Passionate about wildlife conservation and community resilience, my research has led me to spend a lot of time with frontline communities within ecological zones in Asia and East Africa. I founded Earth School and Student Energy NUS during my university days - driven by the belief that if environmental education were to be made more accessible, we would have more scientists, innovators, and dreamers who cared about nature and the world. Along those lines, I have championed for greater environmental action on numerous international platforms, including the United Nations and APEC. In my career, I’ve built climate-tech ventures across Asia Pacific in bioenergy, agriculture, and fashion. Currently, I support the strategic growth and operations of frontier tech solutions to protect biodiversity at Capacity.
