As a Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) with over 5 years of experience in my field, I support leadership in creating safe work environments for employees. I specialize in OHS management system solutions, risk assessment, regulatory compliance and audits, and safety program implementation.My leadership style fosters a strong teamwork dynamic, clear and transparent communication, and empowers others to take ownership of their roles. I am a strong proponent of creating a work culture that is psychologically safe, and supports learning and development opportunities for my team.I have successfully led initiatives from planning through implementation, such as my Health and Safety Gap analysis program with the Science and Research/Fish and Wildlife Services branches of the Provincial Services Division. This project involved coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and mitigating risks to achieve project goals.As a Sr. Project Management Consultant for the Natural Hazard and Emergency Management Modernization project with AFFES, I am contributing to the vision of an Ontario that works together, through all sectors, to reduce the risks and minimize the unwanted impacts of wildland fires, creating safer and more resilient communities. My role in this project is to lead the development of the provincial Standards as per the amendments proposed in Bill 27 for prescribed entities to develop wildland fire management plans that meet prescribed standards.
