About Cassidy Aughe
I am a third year student in the Special Education Mild/Moderate track at The Ohio State University. I have worked the YMCA summer camp in Trotwood, Ohio, and am currently a recreation aide for Montgomery County Board for Developmental Disability Services. As a summer camp counselor I was in charge of 12-18 children at a time ranging from age 5-12 during the weekdays. As a recreation aide, I work with individuals with developmental disabilities ranging from age 5-70 within our youth and adult programs. Along with my work experience, I have had field placements in Newark City Schools and South-Western City Schools in kindergarten and 5th grade. These experiences have helped foster my love of teaching and guiding all students to take ownership of their learning in order for them to grow and achieve.
