About Cassidy Scott

I am recent graduate of Bowdoin College on the pre-med track with a major in neuroscience and a minor Gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. Over the course of my journey at Bowdoin I've been able to work in a number of preclinical and clinical research internships that have guided my interests in where research meets medicine to optimize healthcare. Some of these research experiences include cancer research at Johns Hopkins and clinical research at Boston Children's Hospital. I completed an honors research project where I investigated the role hormones in female rats development of anxiety-like behavior following early life adversity. This research works to utilize a rodent pre-clinical model of anxiety in order to inform sex differences observed in affective disorders in humans. I am now a clinical fellow at Franciscan Children’s through the McLean post-baccalaureate clinical fellowship program.
