Background
About Cassie Brisbin
I am a recent Virginia Tech alum with a B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering and a minor in Spanish. My major straddles the College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Specifically, I am interested in the fields of environmental engineering, ecosystem health, water & wastewater treatment, bioenergy, remediation, and water quality. I have a growing interest in sustainable agriculture as well. In order to achieve my goals, I have participated in undergraduate research, co-ops, and internships. Outside of class, I served on the VT Chapter Executive Board of the American Society of Agricultural & Biological Engineers (ASABE) and explored Blacksburg and nearby trails. I grew up in Charleston, SC surrounded by coastal ecosystems and inter-coastal waterways. I have both power boating and sailing experience from a young age.
