About Cassie Harrison

I come from a small mountain town, a 2016 Colorado Mountain College graduate, a huge people person, traveler and very outgoing. A majority of my character comes for my work in the restaurant business, my time as a choir camp staff and volunteering. I have also been a part-time nanny with infants and toddlers and a caregiver for a young boy with cerebral palsy. I am not just a people person, but also good with children. I am currently working at a well-known restaurant in Glenwood Springs Colorado, Juicy Lucy’s Steak House. Over the course of the 13 years I have been employed, it has help me develop different skills. Skills which include, public speaking, communication, attending the different needs of customers and insuring them the satisfaction they expect. Volunteering has been a huge part of my life. I know I would not be the person I am today without it. For the past twenty years I have been volunteering for Challenge Aspen. Their mission is to make possibilities for disabilities. The program I am involved with is their Magic of Music and Dance Camp. The goal is to give the participant the opportunity to shine in a play and express themselves. I have now extended my volunteering with Challenge Aspen by being a part of their annual gala and golf tournament since 2015. In 2016 I decided to try to make a difference outside of my community, and raised money for Random Acts project Dreams to Acts: Nicaragua. I was lucky enough to join them on a few trips down to Nicaragua to help build a school that provides education to give the students the ability to benefit themselves and their families. This was a complete life changing experience and I came back a different person, one with more understanding and a different perspective on life. When I am not working or volunteering you catch me watching my favorite TV shows or movie, reading a good book, making new travel plans, crafting or making my next cosplay.
