About Cat Allen

I am a creative and self driven, results-orientated professional with a strong background of experience in team management, training and consultancy across commercial, editorial and digital businesses. Having held several senior business positions in L&D, I decided in 2017 to take the plunge and create my own business - becoming one of the first florists in Cornwall to provide a fully sustainable and eco-friendly floral design service. Following a number of successful years and incredible events, of which I am very proud, my young family and personal life led me down a new path. I now work for a SEN college on a beautiful 16 acre horticultural site. Kehelland College (part of the Kehelland Trust) is located just outside of Camborne. We provide specialised education for young people aged between 16 and 25 with learning and/or physical disabilities. The college delivers a structured three year programme which promotes and encourages independence, confidence and employability skills. My role focuses on employment and progression, building partnerships with inclusive businesses and raising disability awareness. Through these relationships we are able to offer our learners a wide range of work experience placements, volunteering roles and enterprise projects.
