About Cat Dooley

I’m a creative based in Iowa City with a focus on concert photography and promoting the local arts scene. As the Marketing Coordinator at the Englert Theatre, I spend my days promoting shows, managing social media, and working as the house photographer at events. I also have a passion for portraiture and enjoy collaborating with fellow creatives on various projects. I’m a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, where I earned a BA in Cinematic Arts and Studio Art. My journey with photography began at 15 as a self-taught enthusiast, and over the past eight years, I’ve evolved into a professional. In addition to my freelance work, I’ve served as the staff photographer at both the Englert Theatre and the Mission Creek Festival for the past three years. These roles have honed my organizational, communication, and creative skills, which I carry into all of my freelance projects. Whether behind the camera or brainstorming creative ideas, I’m dedicated to supporting the vibrant arts community and capturing moments that tell compelling stories.
