PIPPs is a certified social enterprise offering affordable online assistance with Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Adult Disability Payment (ADP), Work Capability – Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and Universal Credit (UC) claims and appeals. We have committed to the majority of our profits going into offering free advice and support to those who need it. One of the ways which we do this, whilst keeping our fees so low, is that we do not offer advice or support by telephone. Claimants can contact us with their questions and queries, by email or through social media. Several of our team are legally qualified and we are extremely proud that we have a point of difference to other organisations and Law firms – in that almost all of our team have experience of living with or caring for someone with a disability, which means that they understand and empathise with the limitations that living with a disability may cause. You can read more about each of the members of our team on our website. I founded PIPP’s in 2018, after the struggles which disabled people face against the benefits system, became evident to me. I felt compelled to offer proactive support to anyone going through the claim or renewal process. We are part of the DWP PIP Stakeholders network and have attended the PIP Forums at Caxton House in London to discuss issues and changes to the criteria for the benefit. Additionally, we attend DWP Digital training sessions so that we keep up-to date with any changes in the application process. We also have excellent working relationships with IAS (ATOS), who have been to meet with us both remotely and in our offices in Rochdale, CAPITA, who invite us on many of their meetings held by video call through the COVID period and more recently since lockdown ended and we also have a point of contact to liaise with MAXIMUS. We find, by working hard to nurture these working relationships, that we can try to effect real change where it matters.
