Hey there! I'm Cat. At the beginning of 2023, I started toying with the idea of leaving my corporate 9 to 5 to start my own freelance business focused on being a Virtual Marketing Assistant. Having been in marketing and brand building my whole career, I wanted offer my experience and skills to entrepreneurs and small businesses that recognize the importance of marketing but don't have the time to focus on it. In June 2023 I made it official - launching CALICO cp. Honestly, this is the scariest, riskiest, most exhilarating thing I have ever done for my career. I am thankful for the career journey I have had, from my very first job as a Sales and Marketing Assistant at WCSH-TV in Portland, Maine, to the variety of functions I served in advertising agencies, to working with a stellar group of Marketiers to build the Kurgo Brand. I've worn a lot of hats in my career, and some say that it is better to be a specialist. However, my feeling is that we should always keep ourselves open to new opportunities and learning new skills.
