About Catalin Stef

Catalin (Cata) Stef is an Entrepreneurial Leader serving as advisor and Board Member to product development, delivery and service organisations. Cata has a proven track record of building, scaling and expending businesses in the technology space for more than 15 years. Cata serves on the Board of Wilkins Solutions (Florida, U.S.) and most recently built and ran the overseas operations of 3Pillar (Virginia, U.S.) in Noida, India and the Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara locations in Romania. Cata’s experience includes a long history of both founding and growing successful product delivery organizations. Starting with Dacomy in 2003, which initially focused on delivering products for local Romanian and European clients. Cata managed expansion into Canada to deliver a telecom software application. Dacomy then connected with Devix Corp,(New York, U.S.) to build a state of the art ecommerce platform. Based on its solid reputation and good work under Cata’s leadership, Dacomy was acquired by Devix in 2006. Two years later, LeverPoint acquired the Romanian presence of Devix for their excellence in delivery. Under the LeverPoint umbrella, Cata grew the size of the Cluj delivery center from 15 to 50 people. The Three Pillar Global acquisition of LeverPoint in December 2009 positioned Cata’s team for even more growth. Cata extended the good reputation of Cluj-Napoca and opened the second location in Timisoara, managing over 600 people in India and Romania combined. Cata earned his Bachelor's degree from the "Babes Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca where he studied computer science. He played basketball for 20 years and can still be found playing basketball with his team. His accessible management style and hands on leadership continues to make him and his teams standout.
