WHERE IT ALL BEGAN My professional life started at the age of 16, not to mention the years I spent with grandmother, in the market, selling fruit and vegetables. I was born in the countryside and from a very early age I felt a strong connection to the land, where I had the opportunity to see the “miracle” of life happening, from the moment of sowing to the harvest of the fruits. I have always identified myself and lived with the rhythms of nature, with the moons, with the seasons. When I entered the world of "serious" work, I learned the first concepts of business management, the power of human relations and discovered that I had the ability to manage and influence the people around me. This and other characteristics that I discovered, resulted in the invitation to train new franchisees at McDonald’s. Subsequently being responsible for the coordination of new interns in the Marketing department at IBM. In 2008 I decided to have an international experience and I moved to London. I spent almost 3 years in one of the world's leading media agencies. I was responsible for large clients, such as Thompson Reuters and Sara Lee and for the coordination of several markets in Europe, the USA and Asia. These were challenging times with many trips, working in different time zones, managing people from different countries and cultures, yet everything was worth it, because I grew up, learned and started to do even better when I returned to Portugal. WHY I AM DIFFERENT I embraced all my professional experiences based on the opportunities for growth and learning that I would have, regardless of whether they were temporary, short or long term. I was never afraid of risking a potential challenge, even calling into question professional stability and comfort or to feel comfortable. This is not part of me. Today I look back and see that I never had a “dream job” and honestly, if there were one, I didn't want to. I can affirm that I am passionate about different areas and I cannot define the one I would choose, giving up all the others. I prefer to live and always retain the positive points of each experience that allow me to be better and give my best in each new challenge. I like to work to live and enjoy the most of each day. I am positive, optimistic and able to adapt to all types of work environments, always privileging teams. I have an enormous capacity for adaptation and a desire to learn and grow, always.
