Background

About Catelynn Pasterchick

I'm a recent graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and a minor in musical theatre. Currently, I'm a Junior Contributing Writer for Beyond The Stage Magazine. This position has allowed me to write, edit, and publish content covering all things music. I've also had the opportunity to communicate and interview musicians who are growing in the music industry. During my time at Kutztown, I was the Head of Poetry and a copy-editor for Shoofly Literary Magazine. I was also a contributing writer in the 2022 and 2023 editions. This organization provided me with a platform to share my work, through the magazine itself and group readings. Aside from that, I was also highly involved in the music program on campus. Previously, I served as the President of Actors Creating Theatre for the 2021-2022 academic year. Within the organization, I've had the opportunity to perform in productions, exercise my playwriting skills, direct plays, and lead our general meetings. In the future, I'm hoping to combine my vast understanding of music with my writing skills to pursue music journalism or general arts/entertainment journalism. I'm also interested in creative writing and I plan on working to get my fiction works and poetry published.
