About Cath Patterson

With over 22 years of recruitment experience spanning talent strategy, attraction, hiring and people development, Cath is a seasoned expert dedicated to helping employers identify their people needs, build robust recruitment processes and retain talent. She is formally trained and qualified by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and holds a CMI QCF Level 4 in Leadership and Management. Prior to founding her most recent business, JVP Group, Cath was appointed as a Director of a North Wales based recruitment agency, where she successfully turned around the business after it experienced a prolonged period of losses. By implementing streamlined processes, building a high-performing internal team, and driving both sales and profitability, Cath’s leadership had a transformative impact. In 2013, Cath founded JVP Group an innovative recruitment advertising and support business, rapidly scaling the business into a high-growth, profitable business. Over a decade the company experienced exceptional success, with sales turnover nearly doubling each year. Under her leadership, JVP Group became a trusted provider of talent attraction and recruitment services, serving a wide range of industries throughout the UK. An impressive portfolio of over 300 clients was developed including: Moneypenny, Arriva plc, Chester Zoo, NSPCC, Gamlins Law, North Wales Housing, Roberts Manufacturing; Calder Industrial Materials, Mitchells and Butlers plc; Luxfer Holdings plc; Gladman; Adlington Retirement Living; Twycross Zoo; Umbro; Chiltern Railway; K&C Construction; and Shropdoc to name a few. While training and coaching her team, Cath remained hands-on with operational work that included providing strategic advice to businesses, recruitment guidance, employer-branded job advertising and managing recruitment processes for entry-level to executive positions across diverse disciplines and industries. In addition to leading JVP Group until December 2023, Cath has been a specialist Business Coach for scale-up businesses on the BW Accelerated Growth Programme since 2017, helping them unlock their potential and drive business success. In 2024, Cath made a lifestyle change and transitioned to working as a sole trader. She now focuses on leveraging her experience to provide specialist strategic business advisory, coaching and consultancy services.
